VALUE OF IN DEMAND SKILLS
Gain experience immediately.
In skilled trade industry, apprentices instantly work on projects and earn viable certifications. There’s no competition for unpaid internships. You’re already on the floor learning from skilled professionals.
Make a good living.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the average salary for a carpenter is $50,000 per year. That’s less than the average college graduate. Salaries vary between state, company size, experience, industry, and level of education. Yet, skilled trade careers consistently make a good living.
A huge need for tradespeople exists
Baby boomers are retiring, opening considerable opportunities for millennials and Generation Z to earn positions in trade careers. There’s a need for metal fabricators, welders, plumbers, carpenters, and more. Because trades are still in demand, there’s ample opportunity and strong job security.
